Did you know our garden is home to some of the rarest cycads on earth? Join us in the Babylonstoren garden for a stroll among the living dinosaurs of the plant world. Wear your sunhat and comfy walking shoes for this one as we’ll explore the Babylonstoren cycad collection on foot, and get some interesting background on SA’s unique cycad species.

Expert Basie Dreyer will share his tips on the propagation of the plants, pollen collection and handling. We’ll also discuss basic pruning principles, seed treatment and germination collection, treatment and planting of cones.
