Sales Representative (Corporate Gifts)
Babylonstoren has an exciting opportunity for a professional and passionate sales representative to join the e-commerce team! The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our corporate client base and strengthening relationships with both new and existing clients and will focus on promoting our gifting services to organisations looking to make a memorable impact through high-quality, unique gifts. The ideal candidate has a passion for fostering relationships, a keen understanding of corporate client needs, and the insight to create tailored solutions that align with Babylonstoren’s brand and standards.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification (sales and marketing, tourism, business studies).
- At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in a sales or business development role, ideally within the corporate gifting, luxury goods, hospitality or related industry.
- Proven ability to build and nurture professional relationships, with a track record of managing a client portfolio.
- Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and is driven to exceed targets.
- Excellent communication skills (Afrikaans and English).
- Available to travel locally.
- An eye for detail and passion for luxury goods.
- A creative approach to day-to-day challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Client acquisition: Identify and reach out to potential corporate clients, specifically targeting organisations that could benefit from our gifting services.
- Relationship management: Develop and maintain strong long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business, understanding their needs, preferences, and future gifting requirements.
- Marketing collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to design campaigns and promotions that resonate with corporate audiences.
- Consultative selling: Provide personalised recommendations and solutions that align with the needs of each corporate client, maintaining our reputation for high-quality and unique gifting options.
- Customer service: Be the primary point of contact for corporate clients, ensuring an exceptional client experience from initial inquiry through to post-delivery follow-up.
- Trend analysis: Stay updated on market trends in corporate gifting and provide insights and recommendations to enhance our offerings and reach.
